Subject: Who owns the copyright to this track?
Can you please tell me if this track is in the public domain?
We would like to use it on an educational, non-commercial video for researchers in Australia but do not want to infringe anyone's rights. Thankyou.
Subject: Great olde time war time recording
This sounds great considering it is 90 years old and was probably recorded with just a mic or two. the band isn't as apparent on the recording as the lead singer is, but this song sounds very much like the songs they play over the old war movies from that golden era of the early 1900's. No hiss, no pops, really well preserved! Great little gem from history.
Subject: Fantastic and so nostalgic
I am not old enough to have been around with WW1 but was born at the end of WW2
This recording really reminds me of my parents and the olden days. Thanks for giving it to us!!
Subject: This is FABULOUS!
This is absolutely fabulous! My Mom was born in 1911 and she still had many, many 78 rpm records when I was old enough to listen to them and one of them was bound as a book with several record in it and it had as many waltzes as I knew existed. They were wonderful and so is your site. Thank you, thank you, thank you for bringing this bit of history back to a generation that may or may not appreciate it, but at least they are aware of such recordings!
Subject: It's a long way...
This is a classic song.. Not too sure about the performer here though. Oh well.
The chorus sounds like Billy Murray is in it somewhere..
Subject: excellent recording
nice slice of history
Subject: Typical recording of its time.

Subject: Love it
Quality of the recording is great. It is also one of the true "Golden Oldies" very oldie like some of us.
Subject: great quality
Great quality recording considering the technology of the time. This recording must have been preserved very well.
Subject: Worth Downloading
Absolutely fantastic and well worth downloading if you want to listen to the original song in its original form.
I always associate this song with World War II, not the First World War, which is when this recording was made.
Well recorded with resonable fidelity considering it was recorded totally accoustically.
